About us

Derwent Harps are involved in all areas of the Harp Business from making the harps through to teaching at our Derwent Harp School to playing the harps for weddings and functions, we fully understand harpists requirements in all areas from Beginner through to Professional. We use only our own instruments for teaching and performing.

Derwent Harp School teaches from London College of Music Early Learning Music Stages to ALCM level - students have gone on to the Purcell and Meuhin Schools, Royal College of Music, Royal Northern College of Music and Birmingham Conservatoire and we have had many students go on to be Oxford Music Scholars too. We run the Derbyshire Harp Ensemble and Junior and Mini Harpz and regularly organise concerts and masterclasses.
